NAPPMED Chieftain Charges Members On Quality Service Delivery

A-Zone chairman of the Nigeria Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED), Ogwashi Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Odili Chuks Shady has called on the members to discharge their duties by the standard of the profession.

Mr. Chuks Odili who made the call in Ogwashi Uku during a chat with newsmen on January 02, 2023, urged ‘Nappmedians’ popularly known as ‘Chemists’ to operate within the scope of the body, adding that the ethical standard of the profession must be observed always.

In his new year message, Odili advised members to abstain from drugs and products restricted by government regulatory bodies including the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ministry of Health, Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN) amongst others.

According to him, NAPPMED which is an organized body was abreast of the negative implications of going against its norms, and rules of operation.

He said: “This is part of my new year message to my members. We must live up to expectations. We, NAPMEDIANS know what is required of us. We shall keep away from controlled drugs and cases beyond our scope.

“Already, we are fully acquainted with the implications of doing otherwise. I encourage our members to be up and doing by steering clear from all that various Ministries and Agencies have tasked of us.”

While acknowledging the regulatory agencies for the seminars/workshops organized to better NAPPMED, the A-Zone Chairman assured the agencies of total compliance with the laid-down rules and regulations governing their practices, noting that health matters must be handled with utmost care.
