Nigerian Police Force Arrest Personnel Over Planned Strike
Nigerian Police Authorities have begun to arrest police officers planning to embark on Industrial action on Saturday.
Some police officers have vowed go ahead with the planned protest despite the warnings of the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Usman Baba.

It was learned that the reason for the protest tagged, ‘We Are Tire Suffering’ was connected to the Force poor salaries structure, lack of equipment and welfare.
The protest was scheduled to take place in state capitals, commencing from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and Lagos.

It was gathered that the families of the Force personnel who met their unfortunate end while on duty were not duly compensated by Federal Government.
In a signal made available to Africa Investigative Magazine, the Force disclosed that it has arrested one Inspector Adebimpe Olorundare has been arrested in connected to the proposed strike.

The signal reads: “IN LINE WITH YOUR VERBAL DIRECTIVE REGARDING TRACKING ANALYSIS O/C SIB MINE X ARRESTED AP/NO 252426 INSPECTOR ADEBIMPE OLORUNDARE ‘M’ ATTACHED TO BOMBPOL BASE 14 JOS MINE WITH GSM NO 080607153** AND PRESENTLY ON HIS WAY TO FHQ ABUJA X WITH THE SUSPECT AS DIRECTED X ABOVE FOR YOUR INFORMATION FOR FURTHER DIRECTIVE X PLEASE XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXX.”

Reacting, a human rights activist, comrade Victor Ojie said the planned police strike action would worsen security challenges in the country, saying the poor masses would be left to their fate.
He said; “Crime will increase. If care is not taken, a lot of women will be raped as it happens because strike is for the junior work force that protects us all.”
