NUJ Ughelli Chapel Congratulates Oyowe On His Election Victory

Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ughelli Correspondents Chapel has congratulated Comrade Churchill Oyowe on his election as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Delta State Council.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Chapel Chairman, Comrade Sunday Apah and the Secretary, Comrade Ovedhe Hezekiah, on October 19, 2023.

According to the Chapel, the new state NUJ boss enjoyed the confidence of his colleagues that have overwhelmingly elected him to lead them.

The chapel noted that election was keenly contested as all contestants campaigned vigorously to earn the trust and support of their colleagues.

The statement reads in part, “On behalf of the Executives and members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ughelli Correspondents Chapel, we congratulate Comrade Churchill Oyowe and his executive members on their election into the State Executive Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State Council.

“We also congratulate all others who fought gallantly for various positions. You may have lost today, but be rest assured that you have enriched the democratic process of the NUJ.

“We commend the Credentials Committee and the out-gone Executives led by Comrade Michael Ikeogwu to have successfully organised a peaceful, fair and credible election,” it said.
