Police Arraign Electoral Offenders, Grant Others Administrative Bail

Akwa Ibom State Police command said it has arraigned some suspects allegedly involved in electoral malpractice.
The commissioner of police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi disclosed this during a meeting with the stakeholders in the state headquarters, Ikot Akpanabia.
The Durosinmi who accused the suspects of aiding and abetting during general elections, said they will face the full weight of law if found culpable in line with the extant laws of the country.

While speaking with the Police Public Relations officer, SP Odiko Macdon, he confirmed that those arrested had been arraigned.
He added that those found wanting will be arraigned while the others were granted administrative bail as their offences appeared more civil.
According to him, “you cannot give the same treatment meted on a suspect found with a gun to his associate not found with any weapon.”
