Regina Daniels Speaks On Survival Of Young Girls In Nollywood

A famous nollywood actress and wife of Ned Nwoko, the Delta North Senate-elect, Regina Daniels, has aired her views on the chances of young girls surviving at the movie industry.
The award winning actress lamented that the nigerian movie industry is not safe for young girls and urged the producers to halt the act of employing minors.

She complained that little girls in the industry have sacrificed honesty, dignity and pride for movie roles, adding that the societal values have been misplaced.
Daniels, who also doubled as a film producer, disclosed this on her Instagram page on March 06, 2023, and advised celebrities, and movie producers, to say no to child labour and keep the industry secure.

“I met a 14-year-old girl wearing a short skirt, crop top and working under another young guy on the movie set who claims to be a make-up artist. Her parents are far away in Port Harcourt and she came to Lagos last year.
“She sleeps in different hotel rooms with whoever agrees to accommodate her every night and is not willing to go back to her parents. This girl told me that she is here to learn but trust me, I know the industry and it is not a safe place for young girls,” she said.
