High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a principled, patriotic, and selfless leader who left an indelible mark on the nation.
In a condolence message personally signed by the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), Tompolo reflected on Buhari’s tenure from 2015 to 2023, stating that the late former president served Nigeria with integrity and was never driven by materialism.
“President Buhari was content with what God blessed him with,” Tompolo said, noting that his administration prioritized character, competence, and goodwill in public service.
He commended Buhari’s decision to engage Tantita Security Services in 2022 to tackle the alarming level of oil theft and sabotage threatening Nigeria’s oil and gas infrastructure.
“His administration’s decision to involve Tantita came at a time the nation’s critical oil assets were bleeding. Today, the story is different, and Nigeria is steadily making progress toward peak oil production,” Tompolo added.
He acknowledged Buhari’s efforts in fostering peace and unity across the country and emphasized that Nigerians will greatly miss his leadership and contributions to national development.
Tompolo extended his heartfelt condolences to Buhari’s family, close associates, and the entire nation, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul.
