Urhobo Awareness Youth Association Donates Cash Gift To Widows In Delta Central

As part of its contributions to çushion the effect of the economic hardship in the country, the Urhobo Awareness Youth Association (UAYA), on Sunday, donated cash gift to several widows running into hundreds of thousands in Delta Central.
The ceremony which was held in Effurun, Uvwie local government area of Delta state was sponsored by the patron of the Urhobo Awareness Youth Association, Olorogun Ejiro Dumasi, the Akporee of Olomu kingdom.
Among the beneficiaries are; Mrs Esther John Eroh, Ethiope East, Mrs Caro Ogboru, Ethiope West, Mrs Ajobenna Christian, Okpe, Mrs Doris Ayo, Sapele, Mrs Tejiri Okiemute, Udu
Mrs Vivian Obruche Odeghe, Ughelli North, Mrs Mercy Onokere, Ughelli South and Mrs Cecilia Omejewan, Uvwie
Others who also benefitted from the cash gift from Delta central are: Mrs Onome Okome, Mrs Mary Koko, Mrs Agnes Fregene, Mrs Regina Ejenuku, Tina Ufuoma, Ajobenta C. O., Rita Masheimigbi, Rebecca Iyoyo, Helen Michael, Dorcas Orode, Juliana Ochuko, Beauty Erute, Victoria Ejorfioghe, Alice Everene, Mercy Ubogun, Mrs Beauty Aminugo, Oghenechuko Okobhe and Doris Simeon.
In his address, the National President of the Urhobo Awareness Youth Association, Mr. Maver Sylvester Avworo, representing the National leader, Amb. Ken Uvwo, resident in Canada, said the group was registered January 2010 with the aim of assisting Urhobo sons and daughters, mostly the less privilege.
Avworo while presenting the cash gift to the widows who were over thirty persons, said the group’s patron, Olorogun Ejiro Dumasi, donated this money so as to put smiles in the faces of their mothers, saying that the group has been on charitable activities over the years to alleviate the challenges of the Urhobos.
The National leader of the group, Amb. Ken Uvwo in his statement through his email address, lauded the patron of the group, Olorogun Ejiro Dumasi for the cash donation to the beneficiaries across the eight local government areas of Delta central.
Uvwo said the donation from their patron, Olorogun Ejiro Dumasi, will no doubt impact positively in the lives of the widows, pointing out that no one can depend solely on government in all things, appealing to others to also contribute their quota to the development of Urhobo and Delta state no matter how small.
While thanking Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the bold step in engaging Julius Berger in the construction of the three flyover bridges in the twin cities of Warri, Uvwo said he has no oita of doubt that Delta will experience speedy development through the More Agenda to give Warri and environs a facelift
Uvwo while commending the governor for the gigantic projects expected to be executed in Warrri and environs, he appealed to the beneficiaries to use the cash given to them by Olorogun Ejiro Dumasi judiciously and thanked all their members for the commitment so far since the existence of the group.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Caro Ogboru while speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries commended the Urhobo Awareness Youth Association (UAYA) and particularly, the donor, Olorogun Ejiro Dumasi, the National President, Mr. Maver Sylvester Avworo and the National leader, Amb. Ken Uvwo for the cash gift and pray God almighty to grant them their heart desires.
