Youth Leader Predicts PDP’s Victory In Sat Poll

A youth leader in Ukwuani Local Government Area Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Rueben Chisunum, on February 21, 2023, examined the electoral atmosphere and predicted victory for the PDP in the presidential election.

Chisunum, who spoke in an interview in Amai, shortly after addressing Team Rueben, a support group canvassing for the party’s success in Saturday’s polls, said the odds favoured the PDP in many ways.

“My confidence is premised on the popularity of our party, network of formidable structure, mass mobilisation of party supporters and prospective voters across the country, the total failure of the ruling APC since 2015 and, above all, the sellable joint presidential ticket of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, he stated.

According to him, “the duo are the best in terms of manifesto, cognate experience, exposure, track records and acceptability across the divides.

“They cannot be compared to the other three main rivals, namely Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu of the APC, Mr. Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP), and Dr. Musa Kwakwanso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), he added.

He said the PDP’s quest to regain power would benefit Nigerians who have suffered untold hardships for nearly eight years of incompetent governance by the APC

“We cannot afford to lose the presidency and probably stay in opposition for 16 years altogether. That’s not just frightening and unthinkable but equally harmful to the well-being of Nigerians, including our party members”, he opined.
