Alleged Currency Speculator Lands In Anti-graft Agency Net

Operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has announced the arrest of a suspected economic saboteur in exchange sector, Mustapha Muhammed popularly known as Mustapha Naira.

The Anti-graft Agency who disclosed this on November 15, 2022, on its verified social media handle said it has set every machinery in motion to restore sanity in exchange sector.

The Agency vowed to be ruthless to individuals who manipulate the system in favour of economic saboteurs.

The statement reads in full; “As part of its ongoing operation to sanitize the foreign exchange sector and rid it of speculators and all shades of economic saboteurs, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Mustapha Muhammed alias Muaspaha Naira.

“He was picked up by operatives of the Commission on Saturday November 12, 2022 at Wuse Zone 4, the hub of parallel market operations in the Federal Capital Territory.

“The suspect has made useful statement while the investigation continues,” it said.
