Bayelsa Records Historic IGR Boost with E-Ticketing System

The Bayelsa State government has recorded a major breakthrough in its Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, hitting an unprecedented N4.2 billion in one month; a staggering 320% increase.

This remarkable feat is attributed to the innovative electronic ticketing system introduced by the Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Board, Dr. Daniel Eniekezimene.

The new system has effectively blocked leakages in IGR collection, ensuring that revenues are better accounted for.

This has brought encomiums on Governor Douye Diri’s administration for its efforts in boosting the state’s IGR.

The introduction of the e-ticketing system is another proof of the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

With this innovation, tricycle riders and other stakeholders can now operate with ease, knowing that their payments are secure and accurately recorded.

The impact of the e-ticketing system goes beyond revenue generation; it also reflects the government’s dedication to improving the lives of its citizens as more funds will be available to execute people oriented projects, programs and policies.

As Bayelsa State continues in it’s efforts to make visible leaps and progress in its IGR, it is clear to all that Governor Diri’s administration is on the right track.

With the e-ticketing system in place, the state has been placed on sure path to achieve even greater heights in revenue generation, ultimately benefiting the people of Bayelsa State.
