The Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality has described the President General of Umuchime Ogume in Diaspora, High Chief George Festus Enukegu as an incomparable leader with a foresight.
The people gave the description in Ogume, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, during the Chime Day celebration held at Chime Uku Primary School, Umuchime Ogume on December 26, 2022.
The preliminary activities of the occasion which was graced by people from all walks of life commenced on December 20, 2022, with a ‘Chime Peace and Unity Football Cup’ competition among the various families in the community.

Speaking, the President General, Ndokwa Neku Union, Gen. Mike Ndubuisi (Rtd), lauded Festus Enukegu for his leadership qualities, noting that peace and unity have found its place in Umuchime-Ogume under his supervision.
While saying that he was astonished to see the people of the community gathered in one accord, the Ndokwa number one citizen called on the people of Ndokwa nation to embrace peace, adding that communal crisis has done the region more harm than good.

Commenting, the Vice President of Umuchime Ogume Members Association (UMA), Lagos, Chief Dickson Ossai described Festus Enukegu who is fondly called Soccer-Soccer as a great leader, saying that Soccer has steered the affairs of Umuchime Ogume without committing blunders.
“Soccer is a great man. He has been doing well since he emerged as the PG. There is no mistake. He should carry on. The only thing we need is to support him to do more.”

On his part, Chief George Osanebi, the branch chairman of UMA Ibusa who thanked Soccer for his magnanimity, stated that the PG and his wife deserved an accolades for creating a peaceful path for others to follow.
Ogwashi Uku UMA President, Chief Anthony Agadi prayed God to unravel more blessings on Chief Festus Enukegu, revealing that Soccer has accomplished a milestone that must not be forgotten.
Chief Ijenwa Ossai who spoke on behalf of the UMA Warri, said the leadership of High Chief Festus Enugeku has superceded other varieties of leadership in the community.
Chief Ijenwa opined that Festus Enukegu is an Ndokwa illustrious son who can be entrusted with higher responsibilities without fear of failure.
In his opinion, former Secretary General, UMA, Kwale, Chief Dennis Uzuh described Soccer as a true definition of an administrator with positive example.
“Soccer is doing well. He is everything you need to about a quality leadership. He does not depend only on his opinion. He believes in right ideas and, he listens to advice. Soccer believes in democratic style of leadership. He’s the man of the people.”
The chairman of UMA, Benin City, Edo State, Chief John Ogwugwa said Umuchime Ogume has become a better place since Soccer became the President General.
The Benin Chairman said Chief Enukegu has shown the people the right path. While urging the sons and daughters of Umuchime Ogume to support him in his good work, Ogwugwa encouraged his followers to follow his footsteps.
The highlights of the occasion were the presentation of cultural heritage, Football Cup, cash gifts to the best footballer of the tournament, the highest goal scorer, amongst others.
