The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to host its Annual General Conference and Public Lecture on sustainable housing development in Delta State.
The lecture, themed “Environmental Stewardship for Sustainable Housing Development in Delta State,” will take place on March 12, 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall, Maryam Babangida Leisure Park, Asaba.
According to a statement by the General Secretary of the Delta NIPR, Emmanuel Enebeli, the lecture aims to bring together key stakeholders to discuss innovative housing strategies and environmental responsibility.
The Guest Speaker, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, Delta State Head of Service, will share insights on fostering sustainable housing development while the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is the Special Guest of Honour.
A panel of experts will also share global best practices on integrating environmental stewardship into Delta State’s housing framework. The event will convene policymakers, industry professionals, security agencies, traditional rulers, academics, students, and the media.
The Delta NIPR Chairman, Mr. Godfrey C. Osakwe, expressed optimism that the lecture will generate actionable solutions for improving housing policies while safeguarding the environment.
The event is expected to foster collaboration among stakeholders to create a more sustainable and liveable Delta State.

“A seasoned technocrat, Bayoko will share insights on fostering innovative housing strategies while maintaining environmental responsibility.
The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will attend as Special Guest of Honour, reinforcing the government’s commitment to sustainable urban growth.
