Delta Polls: Three Shot Dead In Mosogar

The Delta State Guber and State Houses of Assembly Election have taken a different turn as three persons have been shot dead in Mosogar in Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State.

Also, the house of Wilson Omene, the former local government area chairman was set ablaze.

The victims were shot death during a gun duel between hoodlums suspected to be the youths from the community and security operatives.

At the time of filing this report, information on what led to the crisis remained sketchy as everybody scamper for their safety at the time our correspondent arrived Mosogar.

While in Evwreni in Ughelli North LGA, there was violence which led to injuring of some corps members and destruction of three BVAS machines.

Africa Investigative Magazine gathered that violence erupted in some polling units at Evwreni Community which escalated to other areas, preventing electorates from casting their votes. It was alleged that election took place only on two polling units.

Also, In Amukpe, Sapele local government area, there was reported cases of violence which regenerated to attack on some persons.
