Ethiope East PDP Excos Pay Ofobrukueta Thank You Visit, Pass Confidence Vote On Oborevwori

The Ethiope East Ward, and local government executives of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, yesterday, paid a thank you visit to the Executive Chairman of the local government council, Hon. (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta and passed confidence vote on His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
The Chairman of PDP, Ethiope East local government area, Hon Felix Erhimedafe, who gave this commendation on behalf of his executives and 11 ward Chairmen at the Exco Chamber of the local government council Secretariat, Isiokolo, said the administration of Hon Victor Ofobrukueta has positively impacted several lives since its inception.
Addressing members of the party, Hon Erhimedafe ex-rayed the activities of the Ofobrukueta back to the days when he was the leader of the legislative Arm, as well as how he shown unparallel commitment to the promotion of the party in the area and financing the activities of the party, which eventually brought unity and cohesion that led to the resounding victory at the just concluded elections.
Erhimedafe said, “The council Chairman is a true party man who has always be a valuable asset to the party. And l am using this opportunity to urge him not to relent in his continuous support for the party now that the finances of the council has improved a little.
“We also want to inform the council chairman that the party is in dire need of her own party secretariat which we all know is overdue. And we appealing to the council Chairman to assist the party on this project and other meaningful and impactful development in the party.”
Responding, the Council Chairman, Hon. Ofobrukueta, said he is most humbled and overwhelmed by the show of love and solidarity by the party executives, commending the party chairman, Hon Erhimedafe for his role in ensuring robust relationship between the legislative and executive Arm of the local government.
Ofobrukueta said the party chairman’s role in keeping the party united, which led to the party’s resounding victory after 20years of losing Governorship and 12years of losing House of Assembly elections respectively in Ethiope East, has further shown his passion for a strong, dependable and winning party.
The council boss said, “On the finances and projects in the last 31 months, we want to thank the party for the show of love, patience and understanding in this very critical 31 months, but l want to appreciate God that we are beginning to see the light and the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt Hon. Elder Sherrif Oborevwori which has started benefiting the people of Ethiope East.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank and appreciate my boss, the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori for the very right steps in the right direction he has taken so far to reposition Delta State as one among the best states in Nigeria.”
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of thank you plaque to the Executive Chairman and passing a vote of Confidence on the Executive Chairman and His Excellency, Rt Hon Elder Sherrif Oborevwori through a motion moved by Hon. Glory Ovwamuedo the PRO of the party and seconded by Dr Emoefe Okpima, the chairman of ward 11 and was unanimously adopted by the executive Committee of the Party.
