The Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, Muhammad Shehu, and his driver have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
A source who preferred anonymity told Africa Investigative Magazine that the chairman was traveling with his driver and police when they were abducted.
He disclosed that the kidnappers mounted roadblocks along the Keffi-Akwanga road and shot sporadically in the air which put them to a stop before they were taken away to an unknown destination.

He further said that the police orderly who made frantic efforts to repel the attack lost his life in the process.
“We got information that the Chairman was returning from Keffi Old Boys Association at the Government College program when his vehicle was attacked.
“His police orderly who tried to wedge the attack was shot dead. They succeeded in taking the chairman and his driver away,” he said.
Confirming the attack, the state commissioner of police, CP Adesina Soyemi, said security operatives had taken over the location of the attack to save the situation.
