Lexus, Truck In Autocrash At Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

No fewer than seven persons, have on June 28, 2023, escaped deaths when a Lexus RX 350 vehicle rammed into a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Coming after the crash that took place at 1pm, rescuers stormed the scene and rushed a yet-to-be-identified driver to the hospital for prompt treatment.
AFIMAG learnt that the driver of the Lexus vehicle rammed into the stationary truck around 1pm at the Otedola end of the expressway.
Reacting, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State, Babatunde Farinloye, said the crash was caused by speeding.
Farinloye who said seven persons were involved in the crash, added that, “The stationary vehicle developed a mechanical fault. The car that was coming rammed into the vehicle from the rear.
“It was a case of speeding and impatience. Seven people were involved. Five adults and two children, only the driver was injured, no death, but the vehicle was badly damaged. We sent an ambulance there and they were able to get the victim to the hospital.”
According to a footage obtained by AFIMAG, a combined team comprising officials of the FRSC and officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority were seen making efforts to remove the vehicles from the road as the Lexus vehicle was stuck under the truck.
