In a bulletin released on Sunday in Abuja, NiMet predicted thunderstorms and moderate rainfall across several states in the northern region, particularly in Jigawa, Zamfara, Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Yobe, and Katsina on Monday morning. The agency warned of increased chances of flash floods in Bauchi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kaduna, and Kano States during the forecast period.
Sunny conditions with occasional cloud patches are expected in parts of the North during the day, while thunderstorms and moderate rains are likely in Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba States later in the afternoon and evening.

The agency also called on airline operators to obtain updated airport-specific weather information from NiMet’s offices for safe flight planning. Citizens are encouraged to stay informed through regular weather updates available on the agency’s website: www.nimet.gov.ng.
