Ogboni Fraternity Worldwide Leader Declared Wanted By Police

President of the Supreme Body of Ogboni Association Worldwide, Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakre, has been declared wanted by Lagos State Police Command for allegedly threatening public peace with a pump-action.
This was contained in a statement by the state command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on February 02, 2023.
The command pleaded for valuable information from the public that will lead to his arrest, promising that such information would be highly appreciated and treated with the utmost confidentiality.
It was gathered that the Ogboni Leader, recently, in a video obtained by the police was wielding a pump-action rifle and threatened public peace, which led to the raiding of his residence at Surulere area by security forces.
According to Hundeyin, the raid operation was led by CSP Egbeyemi, the commander Rapid Response Squad (RRS), working on actionable intelligence.
“Following the raid, the team found in the suspect’s residence three pump action rifles, one Beretta pistol magazine, one expended and three live cartridges and a picture frame of the suspect.
“The suspect, Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, narrowly escaped arrest and is hereby declared wanted. Any useful information leading to his arrest would be highly appreciated and treated with utmost confidentiality,” he said.
Ogboni is a fraternity is a non-opened association found in different parts of Africa including Nigeria, Togo, Republic of Benin, Niger Republic amongst others.
