The Short Story That Summarizes Goodluck Jonathan’s APC Presidential Candidacy

In those days, children are gathered outside the compound under the moonlight by an elderly person to share forktales.
It was through story telling that information, ideas, thoughts, culture and tradition were transmitted from one generation to another.
It was treasured, and seen as a medium of communication. The spectators or audiences listened with keen interest as some of the stories were non-fiction, harping on their past lives, war, settlement, relationship, among others.
Even, the fictional were filled with moral packages and ideas to prepare one ahead of future challenges. It was a source of inspiration.

However, ‘once upon a time’, is a phrase that transforms, resuscitates and awaiken every sleeping conscience. It calls for an adjustment and a preparation for a new tale.
One of the stories told then, was a set of hungry villagers who they had used all the animals in the forest around them for meats.
So, they needed the Elephant for an important feast. Knowing that it is not easy to get trap an Elephant, they sent a hunter to trick him by informing him that they needed him to be king over them.
They built a massive ditch, and put a throne upon it. Upon arrival they showed the Elephant a well and beautiful constructed throne to sit upon.
The Elephant, majestically, walked to sit on the fase throne and consequently fell into the pit under it. The rest is history!
Not all that glitters is gold. Goodluck Jonathan has visited Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Mamman Daura in search of the All Progressives Congress consensus Presidential candidacy.
