What Gov Okowa Told Families Of Slain Police Officers

Vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Delta State Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, has on February 12, 2023, paid a condolence visit to the families of police officers killed by gunmen in Anambra State.
Gov Okowa who prayed for the bereaved families and asked them to take solace in God, said the loss of a loved one is an incredibly painful experience, but the loss of a breadwinner can be particularly devastating for a family.
While saying that the fact that the deceased died in active service for the country, Okowa assured them that the state government would continue to identify with them through the trying times, adding that evil perpetrators must not go unpunished.
The slain officers were Inspectors Lucky Aleh, Celestine Nwadiokwu and Jude Obuh and were attached to Explosives Ordnance Disposal Unit at the Government House, Asaba.
They were killed by unknown gunmen, who ambushed them at a spot on Ihiala-Orlu Road in Anambra State while on their way to Umuahia on official duty.
The places visited by Delta State Governor were their homes in Agbor Obi and Orogodo-Agbor in Ika South local government area for Aleh and Obuh, and Owa Ekei in Ika North-East for Nwadiokwu, where he sympathized with their widows, Mrs Nwamaka Aleh, Mrs Juliet Obuh and Mrs Onyeisi Nwadiokwu and family members.
