WWE SummerSlam 2023: Roman Reigns Beats Jey To Retain ‘Tribal Chief’ Title

Afimag.com –

The long-awaited SummerSlam has come and gone with Roman Reigns defeating Jey Usos in the bloodline civil war to retain his Tribal Chief title.

Roman Reigns had thought losing out, seeing how things played out at recent times. Jey Uso has become so strong to the point of containing Reigns’ distinctive features.

After winning Roman Reigns in their last encounter, Jey Uso confronted Reigns in the ring; placed his arm on the Tribal Chief’s broad shoulders and said, “I beat you before, I will beat you again.”

This statement left the Roman Empire devastated after hoping to end the feud he had with his nephew.

For the first time since 2007, 59,194 fans watched a SummerSlam for the ages. From top to bottom, the show delivered when it mattered most, and by the end of the night, Roman Reigns remained “The Tribal Chief.”

Detroit witnessed The Bloodline implode in a Tribal Combat match. Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, faced “Main Event” Jey Uso, reigniting their feud from 2020. As expected, it was an emotional affair, with the idea of family being the key story. Jey, who has fallen against Reigns multiple times, looked to change the script and almost had the fight one.

Then, a swerve for the ages took place as Jimmy, Jey’s brother, turned on him, helping Reigns win. Nobody expected that, as Jimmy was a non-factor. It is unknown where The Bloodline goes from here, but Solo Sikoa will be one to watch, especially since he refused to help Reigns after he accidentally speared Sikoa.
