The President General of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), Comrade Chief Amechi Asuguni, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the unity, progress and collective advancement of the Ndokwa people, declaring emphatically that he “will never disappoint Ndokwa people.”
Asuguni made this declaration on Tuesday during the 2025 Ndokwa Annual General Conference held in Kwale, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.
The event which took place in Ndokwa House, brought together leaders and stakeholders from across Ndokwa Nation to review progress and chart a sustainable path forward.
He recalled that following a special stakeholders’ engagement where the 13-point agenda of the current administration was unanimously adopted as a working document, the Union has remained steadfast in its mission.
According to him, since that engagement, NNU has continued to roll out activities aimed primarily at uniting the Ndokwa people, strengthening partnerships at home and abroad, and seeking lasting solutions to developmental challenges.
“Our core responsibility is to bring our people together and engage relevant partners for the growth of Ndokwa Nation. This is an obligation we must continue to uphold,” he said.
The NNU President General acknowledged the financial limitations of the Union, noting that while NNU may not always have sufficient funds or budgetary capacity to execute large-scale projects, it possesses strong influence and moral authority to advocate for the people.
He stressed that sustained engagement with government remains a key strategy for development.
NNU PG disclosed that the Union has already initiated discussions with the Delta State Government and expressed optimism that a high-level engagement with the state government early in the year would yield positive outcomes for Ndokwa communities.
He further revealed that NNU’s advocacy efforts would also be extended to the federal level through broader collaborations and strategic partnerships.
Asuguni expressed appreciation to members and supporters of the Union for their commitment and sacrifices, calling for increased financial support to enable NNU effectively execute its programmes and meet its budgetary obligations.
“We did not come to destroy; we came to support and to contribute to building a better future for our people,” he stated, assuring that the Union would continue to engage robustly with both state and federal authorities to advance the collective interests of Ndokwa Nation.
