The families of the late Chief Godwin Uwadiegu Odili of Umuchime, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, and the late Chief Sunday Nja Onwuka of Umu Ogum-Ossai Unit (Umu Achi-Ossai Family), Ogbe-Ani Community, have announced plans for the traditional marriage ceremony of their children, Clementina Odili and Comrade Festus Opute Onwuka.
The ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Umuchime, Ogume, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the invitation jointly issued by both families under the banner of Tina’sFest (TSF), the event will commence at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to attract family members, friends, associates and well-wishers from across Delta State and beyond.
The invitation described the occasion as a celebration of love, unity and the enduring cultural heritage of the Ndokwa people, while extending a cordial invitation to guests to witness the traditional union.
The bride, Clementina Odili, is from the family of the late Chief Godwin Uwadiegu Odili of Umuchime, while the groom, Comrade Festus Opute Onwuka, is the son of the late Chief Sunday Nja Onwuka of Umu Ogum-Ossai Unit (Umu Achi-Ossai Family), Ogbe-Ani Community, all in Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
The traditional marriage ceremony is expected to draw traditional rulers, community leaders, political office holders, youth groups, business associates and other dignitaries who will gather to celebrate the couple.
The event will feature the customary traditional marriage rites, cultural displays and other activities that reflect the customs and values of the Ndokwa people.
Organisers have encouraged invited guests to observe the official colour code for the occasion, which includes Chocking Pink, Bitter Leaf Green and Light Purple, to enhance the beauty and uniformity of the celebration.
The invitation also features a biblical message on love from 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, emphasising the virtues of patience, kindness, humility and selflessness as the foundation of a successful marriage.
Family members expressed optimism that the ceremony would not only unite two families but also strengthen the bonds of friendship and communal harmony among the people of Ogume and the wider Ndokwa community.
