The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has commenced another round of striking off companies from its register, with 100,000 companies affected in what it described as Batch 6 of its nationwide compliance exercise.
In a public notice dated July 15, 2026, the Commission said the action is being carried out pursuant to Sections 692(3) and 692(4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), 2020, which empowers it to remove inactive or non-compliant companies from the register.
According to the notice, the list of the affected companies has been published on the Commission’s website for public access.
The CAC directed all affected companies to file their outstanding annual returns, including information on Persons with Significant Control (PSC), also known as Beneficial Ownership, and regularise their records within 90 days from the date of the notice.
The Commission further instructed companies that comply within the stipulated period to forward evidence of compliance to its designated email address for verification.
It warned that any company that fails to comply within the 90-day deadline will be struck off the register without further notice.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to providing prompt and efficient registration and regulatory services while ensuring that Nigeria’s corporate register remains accurate and up to date.
