CONPA Urges Chorus Energy LTD To Employ Ndokwa Youths

The National President, Coalition of Ndokwa Peace Ambassadors (CONPA), Amb. Alex Chukwuka Uboh has called on the management of Chorus Energy Limited, Kwale , Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State to consider Ndokwa youths for employment.

Amb. Uboh made the call on Monday, March 01, 2022 when CONPA members paid the company management a courtesy visit at Kwale.

The group noted that employment of the youths in Ndokwa region remained one of the best approaches to attract peace and development to the area.

While frowning at the recent attack on the oil company’s facilities at Etua community by suspected cult members, Amb. Alex Uboh cautioned the youths to shun violence, saying that Ndokwa Nation will not develop in the presence of rancour and acrimony

“The attack on the company’s facilities at Etua community by suspected cultists is highly condemnable and totally uncalled for. We cannot move forward by destroying what we have.

“I advise all those involved in such barbaric act to desist from such; else, face the full weight of law,” said the president general.

The peace advocacy group also advised the host communities of the oil companies to avoid violence, and engage more on in peace-talks.

“It is good to note at this point that violence cannot resolve dispute, dialogue can. Adherence to memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the host communities will also help to promote peace,” Uboh suggested.

Responding, the manager of Chorus Energy Limited, Mr.Gideon Efetobor, thanked the group for the visit and promised to act accordingly.
