Court Nullifies Ogundeji’s Impeachment, Orders His Reinstatement As Deputy Speaker

A High Court sitting in Akure,  Ondo State, has ordered the immediate reinstatement of the impeached Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Iroju Ogundeji as the assembly’s deputy speaker.

While nullifying his impeachment, the court held that Hon Samuel Aderoboye, who is presently the deputy speaker should stop parading himself as the deputy speaker.

Ogundeji was removed from the office of the deputy speaker last year by the members of the state assembly who accused him of gross misconduct.

Hon Samuel Aderoboye was immediately installed as the deputy speaker.

Ogundeji, who represents Odigbo Constituency 2, approached the court for resolution.
