Court Remands Late Osinachi’s Husband In Kuje Prison
A Federal High Court sitting, Abuja, has on June 03, 2022, remanded the late Osinachi’s husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu in Kuje prison.
Justice Ngozi Nwosu-Iheme, in a ruling on June 03, 2022, directed that Nwachukwu be remanded in prison until conclusion of his trial.
Recall that on May 27, 2022, the Federal Government of Nigeria preferred a 23-count charge against Peter Nwachukwu, who was accused of murdering his wife, the late popular gospel artist, Osinachi Nwachukwu.

The Presiding Judge, however, directed that the suspect be remanded in prison after pleading not guilty to the charges preferred on him.
The case was adjourned till June 16, 2022, at 12 noon for more hearing.
Osinachi Nwachukwu died on April 08, 2022, at the hospital after an alleged assault by her husband.
Mr. Nwachukwu was reportedly charged under sections 104 and 379 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, by the Attorney General of the Federation.
He was charged with a homicide which was contrary to section 221 of Nigeria’s penal code, and punishable by death.
