HK Chairman Urges Youths to Shun Cultism, Hard Drugs

NewsDesk

Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Ernest Tedjeye Oruese, popularly known as HK Chairman and Diamonddc, has advised Nigerian youths to stay away from cultism, hard drugs, and other criminal activities, stressing that the future of young people is brighter when they embrace positive values.

The 30-year-old entertainer made the appeal during an interaction with youths in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, where he encouraged them to avoid social vices such as fighting, drug abuse, cultism, stealing, kidnapping, armed robbery, and internet fraud.

According to him, the desire for quick wealth often pushes many young people into criminal activities, but he urged them to focus instead on discipline, creativity, and hard work, which he said remain the surest paths to genuine success and long-term opportunities.

HK Chairman noted that young people should channel their energy into productive ventures that will improve their lives and contribute positively to society rather than engaging in activities capable of destroying their future.

The comedian, who is in a relationship with Pamela Ofuedje, popularly known as Pamela DC, is widely admired for his humorous skits and unique comic style. His expressive facial reactions and natural delivery have earned him a growing fan base across social media platforms.

Describing himself as a “born comedian,” he recalled that while growing up he naturally entertained friends and family members by cracking jokes and making them laugh during play and social gatherings.

HK Chairman said he fully discovered his passion for comedy in 2022, when he began creating comedy content in Warri, Delta State, a city known for producing several successful comedians in Nigeria.

In 2024, he relocated to Lagos to expand his career opportunities and began focusing more on online comedy and digital content creation, where his skits have continued to gain wider visibility.

He explained that although many of his skits revolve around the popular “HK lifestyle” theme, his intention is not to promote fraud but to expose the reality behind such lifestyles and discourage young people from being misled by them.

Born on August 15, 1996, in Warri, Delta State, Ernest Tedjeye Oruese hails from Opkpare Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area through his father, while his mother is from Okpara Waterside in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.

He expressed optimism that his comedy and public messages would continue to inspire young people to pursue meaningful and productive paths in life while contributing positively to society.
