Why Hon Ossai N Ossai Should Not Contest 2023 Elections
By Odili Ogochukwu –
Hon Ossai N Ossai is one of the political leaders in Ndokwa Nation. He is currently a member representing Ndokwa/Ukwani constituency at the House of Assembly. In fact, the history of Ndokwa politics cannot be completed without the testament of Rt. Hon Ossai N Ossai who has represented the people of Ndokwa west in various capacities.
He has represented Ndokwa West at the State House of Assembly before he proceeded to the House of Representatives after tribunal ousted Olisa Imegu, the then, candidate of Democratic People Party (DPP) who was formerly declared of the election. This happened in 2011.

To the best of my knowledge, Rt. Hon. Ossai has done his best in his area areas of responsibility. In the course of representation, Dr. Ossai has delivered projects such as building of six blocks classrooms at Ushie, donation of academic materials to Ogwuezi Primary School, Aboh, Ndokwa East LGA, equipping of Owa Abbi Grammar School, to mention but a few.
Apart from the meager projects Hon. Ossai has delivered to his people, he has organized capacity building workshop for youths and counselors in his constituency. In addition, the Ndokwa Representative who also doubled as the chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Treaties, Protocols and Agriculture has sponsored and supported several bills seeking to actualize different objectives in Ndokwa Nation and beyond.

Speaking further on his dexterity, Rev. Dr. Ossai Nicholas Ossai had organized several empowerment programs over which he gave out motorcycles, fridge, generator sets, among others to people.
He who asks questions must not refuse answers. Are the people of Ndokwa Nation pleased with his achievement and style of leadership? If truly that both the present and past leaders have done well enough, why is Ndokwa Nation still in the dark?
RELATED STORY: Mixed Reactions Trail Hon Ossai Empowerment Scheme
His empowerment program was trailed with mixed reactions. The materials for empowerment have never gotten to the poor masses. The poor people who needed the items most had never gotten them.
I am aware that whoever says the truth comes under attack. The reason so many people are silent over the poor and self-centered leaders that have drove Ndokwa Nation to mud.

Hon. Ossai, actually, was empowering party delegates to pave a way for 2023 elections. Truth is like oil, no matter how you wash it water it will still float. In on his capacity building workshop at Kwale, the Honorable gave N200, 000 each to three local government chairmen, N50, 000 each to counselors with other benefits. Journalists were given N5, 000. What is the place for intellectuals?
Come 2023, Ndokwa Nation needs a candidate who is committed to the overall interest her people. We need a leader who will plant a tree without minding whether he would sit under its shade.

It is true that the problem of Ndokwa Nation cannot be tackled by one person. But Ossai Nicholas has been one of the principal actors with nothing or little to show for it. He has put his best for the good interest of sons and daughters of Ndokwa Nation. Is his best enough?
Whatever the answer may be, Hon. Ossai N Ossai is not the only person that has developmental strides. The case is simple. if Ndokwa people are comfortable with the state of Ndokwa nation without good hospitals, poor road network, and poor power distribution, to mention but just a few; it means Dr. Ossai N Ossai has done well.
