A forty year old man and tenant, Chris Okoye, has been remanded by Kabusa Grade I Area Court, Abuja, on January 05, 2024, for beating up his landlord.

The judge, Malam Abubakar Sadiq, ordered his remand after listening to the defendant’s confessional statement.

The defendant, who resided at 2A Niger Avenue Villa Nova, Apo, was charged with criminal conspiracy, intimidation, force, assault and causing hurt.

The prosecutor, O. S. Osho, told the court that the landlord, Mr Ochengele Isaac, reported the matter at the Apo Police Station on January 03.

According to him, the tenant, his two children and Gideon, now at large, beat up the landlord and inflicted injuries on him.

Sadiq, however, adjourned the case until January 16 for further hearing as the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.
