The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has congratulated several Nigerian footballers who won league and cup titles with their clubs across Europe during the 2025/2026 season.
NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, praised the players for their outstanding performances, describing their achievements as a reflection of the quality and consistency of Nigerian football talents abroad.
According to Gusau, the success of the players is encouraging for the national teams ahead of future international competitions.
“The NFF is very happy with the achievements of these players in their various clubs and leagues. It is a thing of joy to see our players winning trophies, as it shows they are in good form for national assignments,” he said.
Among the players celebrated was Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who helped Galatasaray win the Turkish Super Lig title after an impressive campaign.
Defender Zaidu Sanusi also won the Taça de Portugal with FC Porto, while Terem Moffi celebrated success with the Portuguese club after joining on loan from OGC Nice in January.
Raphael Onyedika emerged Belgian league champion with Club Brugge, while Kelechi Iheanacho won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup with Celtic in his debut season at the club.
Igoh Ogbu also won the Czech First League title with Slavia Prague, while goalkeeper Francis Uzoho helped Omonia Nicosia secure the Cypriot league title.
Semi Ajayi was among the successful Nigerian players after Hull City gained promotion to the English Premier League through the Championship play-off final.
In women’s football, Christy Ucheibe enjoyed a successful season with Benfica, winning three domestic trophies in Portugal.
Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo was named the best defender in the Serie A Femminile after helping AS Roma Women win the league title.
Rinsola Babajide also contributed to AS Roma Women’s successful campaign, scoring two goals in nine league appearances following her move from UD Tenerife.
