Singer Portable To Face 6-Count Charge

Afimag.com –

The Federal Police Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, has announced that Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola popularly called Portable would face at least a six-count charge when he appears before court.

The popular celebrity has been on air repeatedly over misconducts and negative outburst against some police officers.

However, the arrest of the popular singer elicited mixed reactions as most Nigerians felt that MC Oluomo is a fish too big to bend over police negligence.

In his Twitter page, Adejobi clarified why the police have not taken any action against MC Oluomo, who allegedly disenfranchised some electorates during the 2023 elections.

Reacting to the development, the police image maker said he has addressed MC Oluomo issue, and that he is confident that the singer would face charges for resisting arrest as well as lacerating a police officer.

“I am sure u are very awake as I have addressed MCs case, but portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman.

“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who filed a petition to CP Ogun. There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.

“So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway.”

Recall that Portable, recently, shared a Live video on his Instagram alleging that some police officers came to his bar at Sango Ota at the instance of an Internet fraudster.

Consequently, he was invited by the Ogun State Police Command to office but Potable did not honor the invitation. Unfortunately, he was arrested on March 31, 2023, by policemen to be arraigned as soon as possible.
