US Government To Sentence Hushpuppi In November

Afimag.com –

A United States Central District Court, California, has postponed the sentencing of suspected Nigerian internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas for the fourth time.

Abbas who is popularly known as Hushpuppi was apprehended in Dubai in June 2020 with 12 accomplices over allegations on hacking, impersonation, scamming, and banking fraud.

He was, thereafter, extradited to the United States for trial.

It was learned that his extradition to the US was based on the United Arab Emirates police gave details of his arrest, alleging that Hushppupi defrauded 1.9 million victims to the tune of N168 billion.

He then entered into a plea bargain agreement with the US parliament in July 2021 in the expectation of getting a soft punishment.

However, the trial judge, Otis Wright, fixed November 07, 2022, as the new date to rule on the case.
