DESOPADEC Commissioner, Charles Olisa Gets Thumbs-up For Scholarship Initiatives

The member representing Ndokwa nation in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr. Charles Olisa, has received an accolade for provision of free access to higher education for 20 individuals in Ndokwa nation.

20 youths of Ndokwa/Ukwuani extraction have been granted full scholarship by the DESOPADEC Commissioner to attend Bellarks Polytechnic, Kwale, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The beneficiaries were recently, issued an admission letter by the management of the private institution.

In an interview with Africa Investigative Magazine, the President General, Ndokwa East Youths Association (NEYA), Engr. Linus Ejike Osaji, described the scholarship initiative by Dr. Charles Olisa as a solution for youths restiveness, saying that Olisa unlocked the door for education and socio-economic growth.

Osaji extolled the DESOPADEC Commissioner for being a reputable ambassador and for making the beneficiaries’ academic dreams a reality amidst Nigeria’s economic bankrupt.

He noted that the scholarship opportunity would go a long way to impacting positively on the beneficiaries and their families.

While urging the newly admitted students to utilize the opportunities given to them, the Ndokwa East Youths Association President charged the youths in the area to avail themselves for similar opportunities for self-reliance, and economic empowerment.

NEYA President, further, advised other politicians, including well-meaning sons and daughters of Ndokwa nation to emulate Charles Olisa’s good initiative, adding that team work is the key to collective achievement.
