Nollywood Actor, Junior Pope, 3 Others Confirmed Dead In Boat Mishap
After the news of his survival filtered in on April 10, 2024, an ugly version of the story confirming the death of the Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly called Jnr Pope, has emerged.
The actor died around 9;30pm on April 10, 2024, after the mortuary attendants asked his rescuers to take him to the hospital.
Pope and alongside three other yet-to-be-identified actors were involved in a boat accident in Rivers Niger, Asaba, Delta State.
Until death, Pope Obumneme Odonwodo is a Nollywood actor, a model and a philanthropist.
He was born on May 07, 1984 in Bamenda, Cameroun to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Odonwodo.
He hailed from Ukehe area of Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, though, grew up in Cameroon.
He completed both his primary and secondary school education in Cameroon before relocating to Nigeria.
After his college, he went further to University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State where he graduated with a degree in Accountancy. In 2006 he joined Nollywood and acted in many movies.
He has always played the role of guard and servant. He became famous in 2007 after featuring in the blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures” directed by Tchidi Chikere.
Pope was a recipient of several award, and has acted in over 100 movies which include Secret Adventures, Mad $3x, Bitter Generation, Véngeance of Bullet, etc.
On 26th July 2014 Junior Pope got married to Jennifer Awele Okpuno and the couples are blessed with three boys.
