Delta State Police Command Honors Families Of Slained Officers With Cash Donations
The Delta state Police Command has presented cash donations to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the area of responsibilities.
This was contained in a statement made available to Africa Investigative Magazine by the Command Public Relations Officer Dsp Bright Edafe.
It could be recalled that sometime ago, the Delta State Police Command lost its personnel with facilities destroyed over attack by unknown gunmen.
Africa Investigative Magazine gathered that the Police Community Relations Committee, (PCRC) raised some fund to honour the seven families of deceased officers.
The statement however, listed the affected Police Divisions to include the Nsukwa Division that three personnel were lost and Umutu Division that lost two constables.
Other Divisions were the Akwukwu Igbo Police Station and the Ashaka patrol teams.
The cash donations of various amounts was pressnted by the Deputy commissioner of police incharge of Administration, DCP Anyasinti Josephine Nneka.
The DCP who presented the cash donations on behalf of the CP Delta state, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, Psc+ said it was token provided by the Nigeria Police community relations committee to the families of the fallen heroes.
The DCP noted that the token is to let them know that the efforts of their loved ones who died in line of duty did not go unnoticed.
She further stated that the families of the late officers should not give up in life, instead they should do all they can to make their late loved ones be proud of them even in death.
The families appreciated the gesture showed to them by the PCRC and promised to utilize what was given to them judiciously.
