In celebration of Workers’ Day, Hon. Enamuotor John, a Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on security matters, has extended heartfelt greetings to workers across the nation, commending their dedication and invaluable contributions to national development.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Enamuotor John emphasized the crucial role of the workforce in driving societal progress and economic growth.

He described workers as the “backbone of our nation’s advancement” and urged continued commitment to productivity, unity, and the collective good.

Enamuotor, who used the occasion to spotlight an issue of growing concern over youth involvement in hard drugs, appealed to families, communities, and stakeholders to join forces in sensitizing young people on the dangers of substance abuse, which he described as a threat not only to personal health but also to the stability of communities and the security of the nation.

“As we celebrate the resilience and achievements of our workers, we must also turn our attention to the well-being of our youths. We must caution them against the destructive path of hard drug use and promote a culture rooted in health, responsibility, and productivity,” he said.

Hon. Enamuotor also calls for unity and a renewed commitment to building a brighter, safer future for all Deltans and Nigerians, inspired by the enduring spirit of Workers’ Day.

He said, “Today, I, Hon. Enamuotor John, Special Assistant to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, honor the invaluable contributions of workers across our nation. Your dedication and hard work are the backbone of our progress.
