Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, has reacted to a fresh domestic controversy by Regina Daniels, accusing his wife of violent behavior and substance abuse, which he claims have led to repeated incidents of property destruction and assault on domestic staff.
Regina Daniels, in a video, stirred the social space, and accused Ned Nwoko of using political thugs to unleash mayhem on her. She lamented that she cannot curtail ‘beatings’ anymore.
According to Nwoko’s account, Regina’s alleged battle with drug and alcohol addiction has strained their relationship and endangered the safety of household members.
The Delta North stated that in the past 48 hours alone, Regina has allegedly assaulted three members of staff and damaged vehicles and windows within the home.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” said Senator Ned Nwoko.
While expressing deep concern over her well-being, he further alleged that Regina recently moved to a location where she would have “unrestricted access to drugs.”
Emphasizing that none of his other wives have accused him of violence, he insisted that Regina was “the violent one,” citing multiple instances of aggression and erratic behavior.
Ned Nwoko also disclosed that he had previously set conditions for Regina to undergo rehabilitation either in Asokoro, Abuja, or abroad, particularly in Jordan where she would be far removed from access to harmful substances.
He further alleged that during a recent incident, Regina threatened to harm the family’s resident nurse, who reportedly exposed her alleged drug use.
“A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital, but instead she threatened to kill our resident nurse,” he said, noting that he personally took Moon to receive medical attention.
The lawmaker also accused two individuals, identified as Sammy and Ann, of being Regina’s known drug suppliers. He claimed that during his absence, Sammy orchestrated chaos within the home, further escalating the domestic tension.
As of the time of filing this report, Regina had not responded publicly to the allegations. Efforts to obtain her version of events were unsuccessful.
The situation has sparked public concern, with close associates urging both parties to seek professional counseling and medical assistance to ensure the safety and stability of all involved.
