Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, FCA, has dismissed rumours circulating about his death, assuring the public that he is alive and in very good health.
In a statement shared on his official handle on Friday, Obiano expressed surprise at waking up to false reports regarding his wellbeing. He described the rumour as the handiwork of mischief makers but maintained that such fabrications would not deter him.
“I am alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health. By the special grace of God, I am doing very well,” he stated.
Obiano lamented the persistence of individuals who derive satisfaction from spreading unverified and damaging information. He, however, said he remained unshaken and would continue to rise above such acts of misinformation.
The former governor extended heartfelt appreciation to Ndi Anambra, friends, and well-wishers who reached out to him through calls, messages, and prayers following the viral rumour.
“Your love and goodwill mean more than words can express,” he added, urging the public to completely disregard the false report.
Obiano reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining focus and gratitude, stressing that he continues to be guided by God’s grace.
