In a remarkable demonstration of generosity and commitment to institutional development, 300-level students of the Community Service Learning (CSL 301) programme at Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Ibusa, have donated furniture worth hundreds of thousands of naira to the university.
The furniture was presented by the 2025/2026 Community Service Learning Students’ Executive during a brief ceremony at the institution, underscoring the students’ resolve to contribute meaningfully to improving the university’s learning environment.
Speaking during the presentation, President of the Community Service Learning Students’ Executive, Bethel Joseph, said the donation was aimed at addressing one of the university’s immediate needs while reinforcing the values of service, responsibility and volunteerism among students.
According to him, the initiative reflects the essence of the Community Service Learning programme, which encourages students to make positive contributions to their communities and institutions beyond the classroom.
Joseph described Admiralty University as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing tertiary institutions, distinguished by its commitment to academic excellence, character development and national service.
He commended the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Ogbogbo, for his visionary leadership and for fostering an environment that inspires students to excel academically while embracing community service.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the university, the Vice-Chancellor expressed profound appreciation to the students for their thoughtful gesture and exemplary sense of responsibility.
Professor Ogbogbo described the donation as a practical demonstration of the university’s core values of selfless service, leadership and community engagement, noting that the furniture would enhance the learning environment and serve generations of students.
He urged other student groups, alumni and stakeholders to emulate the initiative by supporting the university’s continued growth through meaningful contributions.
The presentation further highlighted the impact of ADUN’s Community Service Learning programme in producing socially responsible graduates committed to making lasting contributions to their institution and society.
