Emeka Oju who is fondly called Emmy China has left his footprint in Nigeria musical industry. He was born into the family of Late Chief Francis Oju and Mrs Queen Oju, of Utue Ogume, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.
He is man of humble spirit who believes that music produces the kind of gesture that people cannot do without.
What makes Emmy China Unique?
The saying that no one can clean whatever God has written truly has a space in Emmy’s life. Just like a child playing under the intensity of the blaring sun, Emmy China learnt how to operate various musical instruments without supervision.
In the history of Ndokwa musicians, Emeka Oju has joined the few notable musicians who were not coached by anyone. King Ochiligwe Ubulu of a blessed memory stood out on this aspect.

His first album – Egundimmeri (Songs of Victory), a gospel song was released in 2009. It is indeed, a song that calms the heart. It is spirit filled and packaged with victory. His other albums include Awuli Kanma (Joy is greater), Ekene Ututu (Morning greetings) Baby Oku (Slay Queen) among others.
A food for thought! In his Baby Oku, God uses Emmy China to send a message to the world. He advises young men who want to embark on a marital journey to avoid slay queens to have a happy home. This song has better the lives of lager number of people.
