Gunmen Abduct Two In Ogun Church, Demand N50m ransom

Faith Anekwe –

Unknown Gunmen have invaded the Celestial Church of Christ located at Wasimi in Ewekoro Local Government Area, Ogun State.

The hoodlums abducted two Worshippers, the Assistant Shepherd of the Parish, Oluwaseun Ajose and a Sunday School teacher, Dagunro Ayobami at time of attack.

Our Correspondent gathered that the four-man gang stormed the Church around 11pm on June 13, 2022 and took away their victims.

A source lamented that the Church was located in an isolated area which made it easier for the hoodlums to operate unhindered.

Reacting, the shepherd of the Parish, Oluwatomisin Ehuwaojomo, confirmed the incident, saying that the kidnappers had demanded N50 million ransom.

Ehuwaojomo said ” when my assistant called me almost two hours after they left, the kidnappers initially refused to speak with me , but on his third attempt they spoke with me and requested N50 million ransom.

“I told them that I am a servant of God and I don’t receive salary, adding that, he has spoken to the commissioner of Police and they are on it.

When contacted, the Ogun State Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, denied knowledge of the incident.
