IPMAN Clarifies Reports On Plan To Hike Pump Price

The general public have been urged to disregard the alarm and speculations about increase in pump price of Premium Motor Spirit otherwise known as fuel.

Chairman of The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Enugu Depot, Mr Chinedu Anyaso, gave the advice in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.

He said the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, being the sole importer of the product has not in anyway informed marketers of increase in price.

Mr Anyaso called on Nigerians to disregard the speculations in social media.

The IPMAN, Enugu Depot Chairman said contrary to media reports, the Port Harcourt refinery is yet to come on stream at the moment.

“There is no need for panic buying as there is enough product being made available to marketers at different depots by the NNPCL.
