IWD 2022: Nigerian Women Are Not Where They Should Be, Says President Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has made an official statement regarding the international women’s day observed on March 08 2022.
On this occasion, President Buhari celebrated all Nigerian women and thanked them for their contributions in all human endeavor.

“On the occasion of International Women’s Day (IWD), March 8, 2022, I celebrate all Nigerian women.

“International Women’s Day is always an opportunity to reflect on the vital roles women play in society, homes, governance, the professions, and in all walks of life.
“While Nigerian women are not yet where they should be in different spheres of endeavor, I firmly believe that they can no longer be deprived for too long, as they consistently prove that they can hold their own on all fronts, and in all fields.

“I applaud the contributions of women to the current administration as Ministers, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Executive Directors, Executive Secretaries, and many others; pulling their weights and making it impossible for anyone to downplay their essence.
“I pray that God will grant our women peace, joy and satisfaction today and always, as we celebrate Internation Women’s Day 2022,” he said.
