Police Arrest Suspected Traffickers, Rescue Three Children
Three Children were on Sunday rescued from suspected kidnappers and child traffickers by security operatives in Delta State.
The victims were kidnapped by unknown men with a car while playing in their premises at Niger State.
Narrating her ordeal, a 16 year old, Jamila Shagari said she was brought to one Mrs. Gloria Ugbebor at Umunede, in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State at the age of 12.
Mrs. Gloria Ugbebor allegedly changed her Dorcas Peter and took her to one Azubuike in Lagos to serve as a domestic staff.
The victim stated that after suffering in Azubuike’s house, she returned to Mrs. Gloria Ugbebor in Umunede who later handed her over to one Mrs. Vera Olunwa in Asaba.
Also rescued under the custody of Mrs. Gloria Ugbebor were Nuhu Yohanna (male) and Abednego Joshua (male) 12 and 11years old respectively.
According to the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, the police have set every machinery in motion to find the biological parents of the said victims.
The Police image maker further said that both Mrs. Gloria Ugbebor and Mrs. Vera Olunwa had been arrested while the effort to arresting their accomplices is in progress.
