The chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Ogwu Chukwutem Abel, has called on individuals and political stakeholders interested in joining the party to do so through the appropriate channels to ensure unity and discipline within the party.
Mr. Ogwu who made the call in Kwale on Friday, said ADC is welcoming the formation of a broad-based coalition with other political parties, describing it as a timely move to strengthen democracy and confront the persistent challenges of bad governance in Nigeria.
The LGA chairman who spoke through the ADC Youth Leader and 2023 House of Assembly candidate for Ndokwa West Constituency, Hon. Odili Ogochukwu Stanley, emphasized the significant of the party structure in building a formidable political force.
He said, “We welcome the coalition, and our hands are wide open to receive as many that want to join us in the fight to rescue this nation from the hands of those responsible for its current state,” he stated.
He further noted that while the party is open to collaboration and expansion, it remained critical that all new entrants respect and engage with the established structures of the ADC.
“Anyone interested in joining ADC should follow the right channel, through the LGA chairman and existing party structures, to ensure a smooth and effective integration. We want to sing in one voice and come together as a team to fight this fight, ” Hon. Odili said.
He reiterated that the ADC remains committed to a united, inclusive, and people-oriented approach to governance.
He encouraged like-minded individuals and parties to partner with the ADC in the ongoing quest for national renewal and sustainable development.
He explained that the party’s recent position highlighted its readiness to provide a platform for credible leadership and positive transformation, and urged all progressive forces across the country to join hands in shaping a better future for Nigeria.
