The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has congratulated Niger Delta leader and philanthropist Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his 55th birthday anniversary marked on April 12.

In a statement issued by its Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, the Forum described Tompolo as a “Niger Delta liberator and a renewed force for good,” highlighting his contributions to peace, stability, and socio-economic development in the region.

The group noted that Tompolo’s transition from agitator to a key figure in private security and community development reflects his commitment to the progress of the Niger Delta.

“At 55, we celebrate not just the life of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, but a legacy of resilience, courage, and transformation,” the statement read.

“From his days as a champion of the Niger Delta struggle to his present role as a stabilising force, he has remained steadfast in promoting peace, unity, and development.”

DOPF also commended his leadership of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, noting that the firm has played a significant role in curbing oil theft and pipeline vandalism across the Niger Delta.

According to the Forum, the company’s operations have contributed to increased crude oil production and supported national economic recovery.

“Through your leadership in Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, you have demonstrated that sustainable peace is achievable when local knowledge, community trust, and strategic coordination are effectively harnessed,” the statement added.

The Forum further acknowledged Tompolo’s philanthropic efforts, stating that his humanitarian initiatives have positively impacted many communities in the region.

DOPF prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and protection for the Niger Delta leader, expressing optimism that he will sustain his role in fostering peace and development in the region.
