The Delta Central Senatorial aspirant on the platform of the National Democratic Congress, Olorogun Prof. Alexander Akpodiete, has expressed gratitude following his successful completion of the screening exercise held in Abuja.
Akpodiete, described the exercise as transparent held that the process is a strong indication of Nigerians growing desire for credible leadership and national renewal.
Speaking to newsmen after his screening exercise, Friday, the Professor of Law, Forensic expert, Cyber Security and AI Guru, commended the screening committee professionalism, patience and sacrifice.
According to him, “Today was not just about screening candidates, it was about strengthening hope and reaffirming our collective belief that a better future is possible.
“The massive turnout and level of participation witnessed today clearly demonstrate the yearnings of Nigerians for credible leadership, inclusion, and a new direction for our nation.”
“The screening process went beyond the assessment of candidates, it represented a collective commitment towards rebuilding confidence in the democratic process.
“I sincerely commend the Screening Committee for their professionalism, patience, sacrifice, and commitment throughout the long exercise.
“Their dedication reflects the seriousness of the democratic process and the importance of building strong institutions within our party,” he stated.
He further said democracy thrives when political competition is driven by mutual respect and the desire to serve the people, adding that the conduct of aspirants during the process reflected a shared commitment to national development.
Reaffirming his resolve to continue consultations across Delta Central, Akpodiete pledged to engage the people with humility and focus on unity, youth empowerment, opportunity and sustainable development ahead of the 2027 elections.
He added, “As we move forward, I remain committed to engaging our people with humility, vision, and a focus on unity, opportunity, youth empowerment, and development across Delta Central.” He assured.
Akpodiete also praised fellow aspirants for displaying maturity, unity and sportsmanship during the long hours of engagement with the screening panel.
