Schools in Delta State, Nigeria, are set to resume for the second term on Monday, January 6, 2025.
This directive applies to all private and public primary and secondary schools across the state.
The Delta State Government has urged teachers to renew their commitment to improving the education system, while parents and guardians are expected to ensure their children are adequately prepared for the new term.
A statement by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro, said classes will commence immediately after the teachers have guided the students in cleaning their classrooms.
It said the State Commissioners for Secondary and Primary Education will monitor the resumption process to ensure compliance.
