Do the Right Thing, Save Nigeria, Kaba Urges Leaders, Security Agencies

By Rossy Stephen

The Parish Priest of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Otovwodo, Ughelli, Rev. Fr. Augustine Kaba, has called on political leaders, security agencies, community leaders and Christians to heed the voice of God and do what is right in order to save the country.

Rev. Fr. Kaba, who spoke in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, urged Nigerians to unite and work together for the good of the nation, stressing that obedience to God and commitment to justice would bring peace and salvation to the country.

According to him, members of the Armed Forces, the Police, traditional and community leaders, as well as Christians, must play their roles with sincerity and integrity.

“Do the right thing, listen to the voice of God. Let us join hands and do the right thing. Army, police, community leaders and Christians should do the right thing and we shall be saved,” he said.

The cleric also challenged politicians to be men and women of integrity, noting that Nigerians were tired of harassment and bad leadership.

“Be politicians of integrity. Do the right thing to save the country. Nigerians are tired of harassment. This is the right time for you to do something and save the nation,” Rev. Fr. Kaba stated.

He emphasized that the nation’s challenges could only be overcome through righteous leadership, justice and a collective commitment to the common good.
